Dr. Laura Slowinski Bruckner, MD

We have seen her twice now for same day appointments when our dr was not there. One time, she misdiagnosed my daughter with roseola within seeing her for two minutes but then took the time to comment on how I should not be night nursing her at 9 months and when I mentioned that I do it because she is not ready to wean she said to me "What about mom". Okay, my regular pediatrician supports my nursing, I also didn't come here for parenting advice, this was a sick visit and not a well visit. That afternoon, I went back because my regular ped texted me saying she was in the office, my daughter was doing worse AND my ped said no way this is roseola, did a urine test and OMG she had a horrible UTI. Fast forward to the second visit with Dr. LB. I am pregnant with my second, my OB knows I nurse my two-year-old. We went in for an ear infection and this last ignores my toddler who is the patient and tells me I am destroying my body by nursing while pregnant. Again, very odd unwanted advice..… especially since I had discussed nursing while pregnant GREATLY with my OB and he was supportive. Our pediatrician is always SO GENTLE, Dr. LB just took my daughter pinned her down unwarranted and forcefully started cleaning out her ears. We could not get out of there quick enough. Now my daughter is terrified of the dr., I brought this up with my regular PEDiatrician and she said that Dr. LB has a reputation to be aggressive and that I am not the first one to complain about this behavior. My Ped is leaving this practice, not sure if we will stay because of Dr.LB but we do love BINKY.
