Dr. Laura Marie Buthod, MD

As a child I visited Dr. Buthod. As young as 5-6 years old I remember her chastising me about my weight, when I’m reality I wasn’t overweight at that time. The unkind words she said to me led to an experience with eating disorders that lasted years. She also diagnosed me with asthma, because I was having breathing issues, but this so called asthma went away when my cat died. She is obviously fatphobic and that is incredibly problematic when dealing with children.

First and last visit. Felt rushed. Gave me short responses. not recommending.

Rather than just simply give the advice, she chose to speak in a highly judgemental, condescending, downright unpleasant tone. She seemed out to get someone, not to HELP someone. First and last visit to her.
