Dr. Laura Elizabeth Cozzarelli, MD

I know Dr Laura Cozzarelli since a year thru my PCP recommendation,when I intended to change an ophthalmologist whom I visited once,who made an insensitive, horrible,blunt prognosis of my eyesight becoming blind in a near future,though I did not complain of vision problem,visited him just for annual check. Dr.Laura was very patient hearing my history,examined thoroughly,came to the assessment of thin optic nerves with wide cups,mostly congenital. I am seeing her regularly. Dr.Laura is very passionate,extremely professional. I do highly recommend her to anyone who looks for ophthalmologist!.

I had cataract surgery with lens replacement. Each eye one month apart. Excellent surgeon!!

Very disappointed with my 1st (and last) visit to this Dr. Very unprofessional. I waited 40 min to see the Dr. She strolled in at 9:20am where I was already waiting for my 9am appt. She went into her office and closed the door for another 10 min while I and another patient waited. The office was messy and cluttered - tons of boxes lined up against the wall right below the snellen test (eye exam). I should have walked out before I wasted more of my time. There are plenty of Dr's out there, try someone else.

This is a kind and intelligent doctor. She answered all of my questions and I did not feel rushed. My new glass are wonderful and I can see perfectly now thanks to Dr. Cozzarelli. Staff was courteous and I did not have to wait long. Office is in a very nice building, convenient location.

In a moment of dire need, Laura did not hesitate a second to go the extra mile to help and treat me! It is unprecedented in my dealings with doctors and she deserves the highest compliments for having made treatment possible.

Dr. Cozzarelli was highly recommended to me by a friend who works as an administrator at a prominent NY hospital. Dr. Cozzarelli proved to be an excellent physician who possesses the right balance of expertise and quality care.Dr. Cozzarelli is caring, wholesome, and knowledgeable ophthalmologist (she is a faculty member at Weill Medical College of Cornell University). She provides through examinations and is highly professional. She makes time to answer all the questions I have for her. Her office is well equipped to enable her to make accurate diagnoses without being referred to elsewhere for a follow-up exam.Over the past two years under her care, I always left her office with the confidence and comfort in knowing that I received the finest care. As a transactional attorney who reads the fine prints all day, I am grateful to be under her care. I highly recommend Dr. Cozzarelli as I have no doubt that she will provide the same standard of care for all her patients.

Outstanding professional skills & a superb "bedside manner".

I was misled when I went to this doctor's office. I paid a co payment 15 dollars and 50 additional dollars for glasses prescriptions and was told my Insurance was accepted.Now I just received a 550 bill to pay telling me that my insurance does not cover this eye visit. This is the first time it ever happened to me.I strongly advise people to be cautious before scheduling a visit over there.

The wait was a little long, but once I got in with her, she gave me all of her attention and asked me a lot of questions about the problem I was having (not only with my eyes). I have been following her advice and I feel better than I have in months. Highly recommended.

I went to Dr. Cozzarelli because of a number of symptoms that involved my eyes and my body, and she asked me more questions about my problem than my neurologist did! Her kind manner put me at ease, and although my problem turned out to not be primarily about my eyes, she directed me to the appropriate specialists that finally were able to diagnose me. I really felt like I was in good hands -- highly recommended. :)
