Dr. Laura Elisabeth Dichtel, MD

Only a 2 because it was my first time at Boston location and they let me go even though I arrived late. I was referred to this team and selected her just to progress my care. She is Dismissive and stubborn. Explained my 15 year history of pituitary and thyroid diagnoses. Runs a million tests including making me wear a heart monitor that showed nothing and trying to get me to go to other specialists. Concluded my results, fatigue, and all my recurring symptoms that had been treated in the past were just who I am. No help. No resolution. Then when I tried to contact about additional testing and asked what that would be after exchanging emails. She refused to answer and had her staff send a generic message and essentially blocked me from inquiring what tests she was going to run so I could confirm pricing. I’ve never met a more rude unaware and unempatheic human. I went to her once and will never return. She never followed up anyway or made a plan for continued care.

Horrible doctor. Brushes you off if you have test results that are "normal." Refuses to admit something complex & rare might be going on... And will not do additional tests to rule things out. I'm pretty sure she could care less about any of her patients... My morning cortisol is at a 7 and because the range starts at 4 I'm "fine".. just so other patients are aware a morning cortisol should be between 15- 20... I'm barely functioning. But sure I'm fine. Like I said waste of time do not see her

An awesome clinician! I went through 4 regular endocrinologists before I found her at the Pituitary Clinic at MGH. I have cyclical Cushings and all other doctors just said I was fat, ignored me, blamed me. Not her! She listens, tests, explains everything, answers emails quickly. She really cares deeply about her patients and you'd be lucky to have her care for you. She's saved my life! Love her so much!!
