Dr. Laura Elizabeth Dooley, MD

While struggling with finding a diagnosis and having received a promise from Dr. Dooley to review my labs in detail, she glibbly stated my labs were normal when in fact I had abnormal test results. When questioned about the abnormal results and doing further testing she exploded in rage, literally spitting in my face while screaming at me. She caused so much trauma to me that day that I stopped seeking medical care despite being fairly ill. This woman should not have a license to practice medicine, as it turns out I had Thyroid Cancer and it went undetected for 5 more years and continued unchecked in my body. It is likely I now have more cancer, but it will take time and the diligent work of my new provider who is a lower level of licensure than Dr. Dooley but is much more qualified as a human being. One star is too high a rating but 0 stars is not allowed.

I have had nothing but great appointments with Dr, Dooley. She is thorough, knowledgeable, listens well and is kind. I am incredibly sad not to have her as my dr any more, due to her retiring.

This person is one of the worst doctors I have ever encountered! She has no ability to listen, ignored critical information, and topped it off by being mocking and condescending. My spouse and I were appalled by her overt scorn and her seemingly endless supply of self absorbed nonsense. She disregarded records, ignored everything we had to say, and blamed us for the situation while refusing to do anything to address the situation even though it is literally her only job! Never go to this person! She is a monster.

Just like the other reviews we found her to be extremely rude condescending and dismissive. She actually was accusing us of trying to be deceptive to get antibiotics. I don’t review doctors as a rule but the unprofessionalism was over the top.

I have never met a doctor with worse bedside manner than Dr. Laura Dooley. I honestly believe she needs to have her license revoked. At my appointment with her, she was extremely condescending. When explaining my history to her, she kept correcting my terminology as if to establish some sort of intellectual superiority off the bat. It was super weird, I've never had a doctor act like that before. She also insinuated that I was a pill seeker -- I am on the younger side, and I am not white, so I can't help but think that she made some unsavory assumptions about me based on how I look. She made judgemental comments about my history which left me feeling like I couldn't be fully honest with her. The whole appointment left me angry and upset, and I definitely will never return to visit Dr. Dooley again.

From the moment she stepped in the room (30 minutes late) she was extremely dismissive and didn’t listen to me. Every time she asked a question, I would start to answer and she would cut me off with her opinion almost immediately. When I tried to explain my experience she laughed at me (extremely unprofessional) and spoke to me in a very patronizing tone. She did not ask for my family health history with regards to the problem we were discussing (or for any other medical issues) and told me within the first two minutes of our appointment that there was nothing wrong with me. How exactly could she have gleaned such a conclusion in that amount of time? She spoke to me as if I was a child with no understanding of my body or lived experience and as if she was my all-knowing superior. I don’t know if this treatment was due to my age, race, or if she behaves in such a disrespectful and unprofessional… manner with all of her patients. Either way, it is completely unacceptable for someone in her field and my appointment was a complete waste of time and money. I will never visit her office again.

Does not spend time, rushes you in and out and doesn't explain anything. She doesn't listen and makes feel like its all your mind and this is when I was physically injured.

I found Dr. Dooley to be self absorbed and not really interested in me or what I was telling her regarding my symptoms. I've been dealing with a health problem for a number years and was told that I shouldn't have any stress or anxiety because of where I live and refused to renew my medication. Ridiculous. I got the impression that herding me in and out as quickly as possible was her main concern. Her assistant operates under the same principal. Their joint concern should be for their patients, I don't they understand that part of being a medical provider.

Dr. Dooley was very attentive and so helpful. I'd highly recommend her to anyone. Entire staff was very friendly.
