Dr. Laura Ann Emge, MD

Both my daughter have Dr. Emge as their pediatrician and they love her. She is funny, kind, gentle, caring, knowledgeable, and most importantly she treats me and my daughters like family, showing us she genuinely cares about her patients.

Dr. Emge was seriously a delight, my daughter Kennedy always looked forward to seeing her. She is the one severe downside to no longer having Kaiser, because she was amazing from the very first appt with my daughter she always treated us well and respectful. She is willing to listen but will also give you her opinion as a professional. Even though I was a new mom she never treated me like I didn't know what I was talking about or like she just knew better than I did. She always made me feel like my concerns were valid and I never left her office feeling like Kennedy was just another chart. She has a very special way of getting into your heart and the way she interacts with your child will bring you a smile as well. If you're looking for a professional who will hear you out as the parent and still provide you with the professional opinion and information to help you make informed decisions for your child, look no further, even just last minute sick appts we were able to get in with her… and she always greeted us with patience and a smile no matter how busy the office actually was.

I have been in the US for 5 years and speak English pretty good with accent. Dr. Emge is an educated person and she should know that she s supposed to speak not so fast when speaking to a person whose English is their second language. Even my husband who is a US born finds it difficult sometimes to understand her. He says the doctor speaks really fast as if she s in the war or something. I really recommend people who are immigrants to the US, not to go to this doctor. She doesn't care if you understand her.

She was great my 1& 5 yr old miss her. She was very detail when explaining her diagnoses. She would show pictures and draw them so you how an idea.

I highly recommend Dr. Emge. She's not only a Pediatrician, but somewhat of a counselor too. Both my daughters loved her and they miss her very much, and I do too. She is very professional, yet has a down to earth approach.

Dr Emge was the first doctor to actually address my son's ear and speech problems. He had severe ear infections and she was able to get speech therapy for him PAID FOR by the insurance company. When we went in for our first speech appointment, the therapist said "wow-- it's really rare that an HMO pays for speech" and I told her that it was because Dr. Emge really fought for us! She's the best.
