Dr. Laura M Ferries, MD

Dr. Laura is a very knowledgeable physician who is up-to-date on current medical advances and treatments. She is both compassionate and very devoted to caring for her patients. I know Dr. Laura is committed to providing the best quality of life possible for me as a patient. Dr. Ferries listens to my concerns, answers my questions, guides me in my care, and is willing to consult with other professionals to provide the best treatments options for me. She is my best healthcare advocate and I know she truly cares about me as a patient and person. I have many health issues and have been treated by leading specialists in the US and also abroad. Her skills as a physician are outstanding and I would rank her as one of the best in the nation. Sheridan, WY is lucky to have her and I would not hesitate to recommend her. I am blessed to have her caring for me.

Dr. Ferries is very detailed and listens very carefully to her patients. Although sometimes I think she might try to generalize your symptoms if they are outside the norm, but she will listen to your argument if it is valid.

My appointment was held at one of her out of town locations. My visit involved her mentoring a new student. I felt more attention was given to the student then me. Most of the conversation about "me" was between her and her student. All furture dealings and correspondences have been via phone with her nurse. Flexibility with appointment scheduling is very limited which is most likely a direct result of this being an out of town location for her and typical for most doctors who provide this service.

She diagnosed me with one problem, then turned around and changed her mind after I had been on meds for over 5mnths. Then said the radiologist read the report wrong and I didn't have a tumor and low and behold when I left her as a doctor and waited, I had a scan done months later and low and behold there was a tumor. Maybe she is an overall good doctor but I didn't have a good experience with her.

Extremely compassionate, takes the time to listen to the patient, provides a clear plan for health care, knowledgeable on thyroid and parathyroid issues. She is a true physician with a passion for helping people - I can tell it is her "profession" and not just a job.
