Dr. Laura Beth Frank, MD

I was most satisfied with the care that Dr. Frank provided during my ED visit. She was personable and thorough and listened to my concerns without judgment. I received quality care in a very reasonable amount of time. I don’t think you can ask for much more than that from any provider, especially one in a busy ED during a pandemic! Very grateful. Thank you! =)

My daughter had the misfortune of being a patient of Dr. Frank for a migraine with stroke symptoms. This doctor was incompetent and condescending. She didn’t even examine her - not even did a neurological check, she just made jokes about getting drunk in college. She is uneducated, rude, and uncaring. We will NEVER go back to Emerson hospital again if she is indicative of what kind of doctor practices here. My daughter’s usual doctor was horrified at the lack of treatment. I would her a zero rating if I could!

I was there yesterday with pneumonia and big asthma flare. I am a health care provider and have had many ER visits for my asthma. This was my first time meeting her. She came to evaluate me very quickly and checked back on me frequently. I felt very safe and secure with her assessment skills and plan. She was very caring. I will hope that she is on duty the next time I have to go to ER. I am shocked by how negative some of the reviews are. Maybe some folks do not understand that the ER docs have to prioritize their time with the sickest patients???

My son recently visited Emerson after breaking his arm in a sports related accident and we were placed in the care of Dr. Frank. This significant break required reduction under conscious sedation with x-ray guidance. Not coming from the medical field, my wife and a I were to say the least very anxious at the time. I want to commend Dr. Frank and her leadership of the team in the ICU that day as it was exemplary. She took time to explain the procedures in a clear and understandable way. She carefully reviewed my son's records with particular focus on his medications. She patiently called us into the room as my son was sedated with a focus on positive thoughts as he went to sleep. I have read other negative reviews online this morning and I am shocked: this is not the care provider that we met.

Adding a toxic human being to a place that should promote healing makes no sense, but Emerson has done it.

If I could rate zero stars, I would. This woman is a rude, condescending, arrogant human being. Avoid at all costs if possible.

My mother was a patient of Dr. Frank today. All I can say is request another doctor! She has terrible bed side manner and is extremely rude. She is very demeaning and arrogant. She never spoke with my mother(who was the patient) and was very rough with her. I was hoping she would at least show some compassion towards her as she does have dementia and is 87. Horrible experience! Terrible doctor!
