Laura Howell, MD, is excited to join CommonSpirit Obstetrics & Gynecology High Country Health Frisco. Originally from Tennessee, Dr. Howell earned her bachelor's degree in Biology from Sewanee: The University of the South. She then ventured to Summit County where she worked for Breckenridge Ski resort and met her husband, Teague, before returning to Tennessee to complete her medical school training at East Tennessee State University Quillen College of Medicine. Dr. Howell completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at The University of Utah Health Sciences Center in Salt Lake City, UT where she received recognition for her teaching abilities, research, and excellence in laparoscopic surgery as well as family planning. Board eligible, Dr. Howell brings her expertise in general obstetrics and gynecology as well as pelvic pain, adolescent care, and laparoscopic and vaginal surgery to the practice. She enjoys all outdoor activities including skiing, snowboarding, hiking, and …running with her husband and friends. She looks forward to the winter season in the high country.
