Dr. Laura Kathleen Hummers, MD

Excellent doctor who is caring and always spends the appropriate time needed with a patient. She always answers questions and is very helpful. I couldn't ask for a better doctor.

Dr. Hummers has always taken whatever amount of time I have needed during an appointment to make sure I understood everything she told me. I find her to be very thorough and caring. I travel from Central Virginia to see her.

The Dr I had been seeing left and Dr Hummers was her replacement. I was introduced to her by Dr leaving.Dr Hummers, always spends alot of time with me, answering questions and explaning things to me.She answers my emails and gets back to me right away. I like the way she knows me and understands me and explains different things to me and I trust her with my life. I value her opinion and truly feel she cares about me. I am seen every 3 months and always have a list with me and she listens and explains what I need to know. My friends can't believe that she will email me, spend time talking to me and explaining things to me as most friends do not have a Dr like this..She listens and gives her thoughts when I ask her for them and explains them also. I will never move away from this area as I know in most places, it is hard to find a warm caring Dr like she is and I truly appreciate her caring and it makes me feel understood. I have been so lucky to have Dr Hummers in my life and hope she… will always be there for me.

Dr. Hummers is caring and attentive to detail I never feel rushed as she takes the time to answer all of my questions. She is honest & upfront, which I appreciate. I suffered for many years with symptoms no doctor could get a handle on. Dr. Hummers has solved the problem and I am in a good place, physically. She is always available via e-mail & answers promptly Never has another doctor offered that kind of communication, it makes me feel as though she is really interested in my well- being. No question that I would highly recommend her!

Very knowledgeable & sensitive...spent an amazing amount of time with me,explaining everything, answering all of my questions ( I had many). I travelled a long way to see her, and continue to see her every 3 mos. I went in feeling hopeless, and she was reassuring, informative, and made me feel as though I was in very capable hands. The best part , is that she not only is a Dr. , but a scientist in the lab.
