Very dismissive! Kept taking X-rays (3 of them) for a sprained ankle then saying that my daughter just needed to walk on it, despite us insisting that something else was wrong. After 12 weeks of my daughter being unable to walk, I finally pushed for blood work and an MRI and she was finally diagnosed with CRPS (Complex Regional Pain Syndrome - a nervous system disorder) by another doctor. Dr. Lemke still said she should be walking within a month, despite CRPS being the most painful medical condition that we know of (according to the McGill pain index), and a 4-month wait for the specialist who could treat CRPS. My daughter eventually developed a secondary nervous system disorder and ended up bed-bound; it took 12 months and a spinal cord stimulator implant to get her walking again, (thanks to another doctor at Lurie's in Chicago).

My son Lucas broke his elbow on the very last day of school. Dr.Lemke did an amazing job on my sons surgery. I was so nervous but she’s very good and friendly. Thanks to Dr.Lemke he got his cast off today. I’m so happy he has such a great doctor. Thank you Dr.Lemke great surgeon!!!

I hope no child grows up not trusting adults. She says the braces are coming off forever and then the braces come back on and not just once telling the child the braces are done. Why not try something else, like PT, OT, surgery and stop telling the child no more braces and then turns around and uses them again. How uncomfortable is that for a child in school to have braces started up again.

Dr Lemke is amazing! She is intelligent yet down to earth and talks to the children as well as to the parents my daughters have all really enjoyed her. She has accurately diagnosed all of my children. And has saved 2 of them from having unnecessary surgeries that other doctors were insisting on. I highly recommend Dr Lemke!

The only thing about Dr. Lemke is she says wonderful things to the child and then does the opposite. The child is still in braces after a whole year of wishful thinking that they would be removed early, Now a year later they are still wearing the braces.

I would like to see Dr. Lemke see her patients in a more timely fashion. I wonder if the braces would have come off earlier or the time to come off more timely, had she seen her patient sooner. The braces are still on and well over the time they were to come off.

I am not sure Dr Laura Lemke has the best bedside manner. The reason I say this is because she says one thing and does the complete opposite. Without going into deep details, she tells patients and family one thing and does a complete turn around. I know things happen and change, but I wonder if the bedside manner is pacifying the patient and family at the time of a visit which is not the best thing for anyone. I, personally, would not trust what she says anymore. I hope the braces come off this time around, but I am not counting on it.
