Dr. Laura Ellen Lucas, MD

I chose Dr Lucas through my own research. I was extremely impressed with her knowledge & expertise from the 1st visit. As a patient, I feel that I could not receive better care from any other doc. As a woman of a certain age no longer needing obstetrics, I strongly believe Dr. Lucas understands my age appropriate gynocological needs extremely well, & tailors her care to my specific needs accordingly. She is a no nonsense practitioner, she is laser focused on the patient's needs & concerns, listening carefully & noting all concerns expressed. I definitely feel that she hones in on concerns & or issues, provides very thorough preventative wellness exams, then confidently provides an immediate & accurate diagnosis. Her staff, namely Karen at front desk, & Veronica med assistant are also exceptional. I was able to get an appointment fast thanks to Karen.Veronica does basics very efficiently. Dr&staff do a superb job, clearly a stellar team! Not a long wait to see the Dr once you arrive.

Although Dr. Lucas is very knowledgeable her “bedside manner” leaves something to be desired. As a recovering ED patient (she was my doctor during that whole period of my life) she and her MA/nurse(?) continually made snarky comments about my weight once I was no longer underweight. Patient beware, if you are in ED recovery/still struggling I would avoid this doctor.

The appointment could have been a bit longer

Dr.Laura Lukas Is one of the best doctors I have seen in the USA..She is very experienced, professional and very knowledgeable.She has been my gynecologist doctor for six years and I can’t be happier.Her stuff is also very nice always helpful and with smile on their face..And her nurse she is the the loveliest person ever, she will always make you feel comfortable and she cares about patients.

Dr Lucas appeared disinterested and sarcastic. Her assistant in the room seemed to be unsure of herself and gyno terminology while taking my history. During exam, assistant handed the wrong instrument to doc twice and had to be directed to the location of what the doc wanted. When I had a few questions, doc didn't know if she had any written info re my concerns. Shuffled through material in exam rm and finally found a handout. I take no pleasure in my low rating of her; however, this was a waste of my time. Will not return to this office.

Love her! She's very thorough, professional, cordial and informative. She doesn't rush through the appointment and explains everything in laymen's terms so that you have a clear understanding. One of the best, if not the best, doctor I've ever visited. Highly recommended.

She has been my doctor for about 10 years...highly recommend her to all family and friends.

Dr Lucas was my physician for a number of years. However I found her to be increasing impatient and she did not offer me options that could have improved my quality of life. I found another doctor and am so much better off. Go if you must, but be forewarned that you may not get everything you expect.

I enjoy Dr. Lucas because she is very professional. She does not do the whole female heart-to-heart that I feel some gynecologists attempt. Instead, she gets you in and out and doesn't waste your time. It's not that Dr. Lucas doesn't care. I think she does. But she treats you like an equal that's capable of understanding women's health, and not like a child or idiot.
