Very caring Doctor

SHE WAS VERY NICE AND SHE LISTENS TO WHAT YOU HAVE TO SAY. SHE TELLS YOU LIKE IT IS IN TERMS YOU CAN UNDERSTAND. SHE DOES NOT TALK OVER YOUR HEAD. I WOULD HIGHLY TELL A FRIEND TO GO TO HER.

Was very disappointed in the way the young nurse treated me when I got there and someone had cancelled my appt by mistake, and she could be heard from the back room telling the receptionist that there was no room to fit me in for an injection which would take 5 mins of the doctors time. Instead only to find out that she calls another patient back that came in 20 mins after me. She finally brings me to back after waiting 35 mins in the waiting room to tell me that I would have to wait till the doctor was done with a new patient which would be another hr wait in the room. I walked out and will never return to this office again. Very nice Doctor but the nurse was rude and very nasty towards me....and for that reason I wont go back again.

I have been going to Dr. McGowan for about a year. All in all she is a nice physician, listens and answers questions well and spends the time needed to make you feel comfortable. However, the office staff is another matter. I called for an urgent appointment and was told they needed to speak with the doctor first. I receive no call in 2 hours so I phoned back. They said they gave her a priority note and would call me when they received word from her. The next day I still has received no phone call. When called that day, they said there was nothing they could do and I could go to the ER. They were closing in an hour for a holiday weekend. I am not sure if the doctor ever was notified of my condition or not, but needless to say she is losing a patient due to the lack of caring by her office staff.
