Dr. Laura L Mendyk, MD

I was a patient of 8 yrs. After policy change with the clinic creating arrival times different from actual appointment I was not seen even though I was there at my appointment time. I am in town from Alabama for only a couple days and had limited time availability. I had this appointment booked for months for that reason. I was treated poorly and tried to communicate with Dr.Mendyk over email explaining my situation and asking for help with a medical situation. The nurses kept telling me to book another appointment, which I explained was not possible. I eventually heard from Dr Mendyk but this email has left me upset and with the feeling of betrayal. She was rude, unprofessional, and straight out catty in the email to a patient that she has been seeing for eight years. I have been with her since high school. All I can say is she is a brilliant doctor but it's all an act. I thought the small clinic (that I had been a patient of since birth) and local doctor cared about their patients… but I was proven wrong. I was planning to pay more for insurance when I moved back, so I could continue to see Dr. Mendyk but this interaction made the clinic loose me and my family as patients. Be aware of this clinic, their policy changes that they do not worn patients about, and this doctor.
