Dr. Laura Jean Meyer, MD

I have been seeing Dr. Meyer for about 4 years when she first helped diagnose my prolactinoma. Since then, Dr. Meyer has helped our family with a successful IVF that yielded our wonderful toddler and a successful second IVF transfer very recently. Dr. Meyer is one of the most caring and diligent doctors that I have ever met who always wants to meet her patients where they are in terms of their needs and preferences. Personally, I wish I could clone her for other specialties as she is by far one of the best doctors I have ever encountered.

I had the unfortunate experience of Laura Meyer performing my genetically tested, 5AA embryo transfer. My lining and numbers were ideal, as was my embryo. The embryo got stuck in the catheter with the first attempt and clearly never made it into my uterus with the second transfer. I had my bloodwork today and it reflected exactly what I anticipated - Negative numbers. The embryo never implanted. This rarely happens according to the research I’ve done and another professional opinion I’ve received, but according to Laura Meyer it has happened to her twice in a month and “the first one is now seeing a heartbeat at their ultrasounds”. I’m devastated and disappointed. I’ve been pregnant four times on my own (2 miscarriages), and was always able to get pregnant very quickly. The only reason we decided to proceed with IVF was because my husband had a vasectomy after our 2nd child, but we’ve since had a change of heart. After injecting and administering a barrage of hormones and medications… for nothing I have to start at square one because of a shoddy, botched transfer that was negligently handled.
