Dr. Laura Ann Murphy, MD

Holy crap! I was convinced I was schizophrenic. Went to a million doctors who prescribed every drug under the sun. Turns out all along I had PTSD that was making me paranoid. Murphy took me off all the heavy drugs that made me so tired. She sent me to a good therapist to deal with my trauma. Now I dont freak out all the time, Im on a single antidepressant thats WORKING and Im not sleeping all day. Thanks Dr. Murphy, your the best

Dr. Murphy is honest with her patients. She takes time to listen. I think thats a plus and a minus, cuz she runs late sometimes. But Im never disappointed when I see her.

often takes calls mid session, (breaking HIPPA as I can hear everything), is late with no apology regularly and demeaning in tone. I do not recommend Dr. Murphy to manage any type of mental health needs.

Dr. Murphy is snide, typically always 30 minutes late, and if longer it's without apology as if my time is less valuable than hers, you're not the only one with a degree sister, many of your patients do too (just because I use medication you prescribe.) She is insensitive and dismissive and answers work calls on a regular basis (also breaking HIPPA since I can hear the entire call on her cell phone). I do not recommend Dr Murphy to anyone who actually needs assistance with their mental health. I will be looking elsewhere for someone who has the other very necessary skills to be an effective psychiatrist.
