Dr. Laura Jane Nelson, MD

I have seen Nelson for several years and am always left feeling judged and not receiving treatment that I need. She imposes judgement for using marijuana for mental health when she is not prescribing the correct medication to treat my mental illness. She is kind but not very effective as a doctor.

Answer Dr Barry Freeman. She was the most incompetent doctor I’ve ever encountered. Severely depressed but she couldn’t care less. Because I hadn’t made an appointment for knee surgery she took my pain medication away to punish me!! I was not going to have surgery until received treatment for my depression So depressed couldn’t even get out of bed. So I knew wouldn’t be able to do my physical therapy that is so necessary

I’m sorry to have to write such a negative review but have to be honest. No sugar coating. If you are looking for a primary doctor for your child or yourself do not sign up with Dr Nelson. What HRH doesn’t tell you is if your not happy with your Dr. you CANNOT change once assigned to a doctor. They will say to contact Julia Smalley for patient complaints. She is caring and listens to complaints but not much she can really do. She is more of a buffer for Dr. Barry Freeman who patients should be contacting

I found Dr. Nelson to be responsive and professional during my few physical appointments. She provided good recommendations and advice. I'd recommend.

Dr. Nelsen abandoned my daughter while she was seeking treatment for a chronic illness. My daughter is now forced to undergo extensive treatment for CIPD without the advocacy of a primary care physician.

I love Dr. Nelson, she listens, she respects my feelings and understand I know my body. She is just great. She cares about your medical health.

She scared my son and was mean to him. She tried to go over a specialist when she did not have the authority to do so on my child. I would not recommend her at all.
