Dr. Laura Neustater.. Terrible ! She cost my family and I thousands of dollars in an ER visit because of her lack of competence! My new born baby was less than two weeks when she was rushed to the ER because Neustater incorrect consultation… Plus I had just had a cesarean .. you can only imagine how much stress this was on me.. My daughter was born at 6lbs 0oz at the same hospital Neustater works at! Instead of the hospital providing the doctors access to my babies history we were required to provide documentation.. You would think since we are in 2021/2022 they would be more up to date with their system… any way we provided the documents provided by the hospital (with her correct birth weight) someone in the office enter a birth weight of 6lbs 8oz. In the beginning we had no clue ! Neustater, consulted us on our first two visits because she was concerned, she said our baby lost a lot of weight which is normal but by 2 weeks she should at least reach her birth weight.. The third… appointment was 3 days before our baby 2 week appointment (this was an EXTRA apt requested by Neustater because of the weight). She expressed her concerns for my babies weight.. at the time she weighed 6lbs 3oz.. we new she reached her birth weight therefore we were a little relieved .. However, Neustater said other and encouraged us to over feed her and give our baby cereal.. but my daughter was only 11 days old! Confused at Neustater’s response I asked her what her birth weight was on file she she said 6lb 8oz. I explained she weighed 6lb 0oz after explaining this to her she continued to consult us on the wrong birth weight and encourage us to feed her more. As new parents we thought the doctor must know best and she must know what she’s talking about.. she does this for a living.. right.. Wrong! After following her instructions our daughter went to relax and began moving strange, her body tensed up and seized.. We didn’t know what was going on so we rushed her to the ER.. Then had to be transported to a children’s hospital! Ridiculous!! At this time the host only allowed one parent because of CoVid as the mother I had to stay with her.. This was a lot on my body because I did not fully recover from my c-section.. I walked so much where I was stitched began to slightly open.. painful and horrid! When we were in the hospital Neustater called me because she heard the news.. She did not hold herself accountable for the incorrect consultation.. we scheduled an appointment and to my surprise she was out of the office.. we were consulted by her partner and he raised concerns about our daughters weight! He said she needed to be fed more. We explained the situation and how we were release from the ER .. disregarding what we just expressed he firmly told us to feed her more.. we told him we weren’t comfortable because of the ER visit and he simply said.. It’s TRIAL and ERROR.. following that comment he made another obscene comment about my daughters soft spot in the back of her head saying it should have closed at the time and had the neuro surgeon there and he looked just as confused as we did.. although he had a mask on you could see the expression in his eyes.. following that appointment we contacted the hospital regarding this matter.. Neustater was MIA when we called to talk to her so we spoke to her boss Sherry Saunders.. apparently an investigation was conducted and I was never contacted or questioned… once the “investigation” was closed nothing was seen wrong with this consultation…

Dr Neustater was a new Dr at the time she cared for my son jimmy at shands uf in Gainesville Fl. In the summer of 1991 he was 7 yrs old and had hemolytic uremic syndrome, the scarriest time of our lives. She was not only a competent Dr. But so sweet and so caring and soooooo patient with me as well. Anyone who has a sick child is also a patient ! She stayed right with us hours in end, i could never thank her enough. Jimmy is 35 has no kidney problems and is alive and well thanks to God for sending her and Dr Fennel to us. God bless you!!!!

Dr. Neustater provides care for both my children. She takes the time to talk to us and asks the right questions. She really cares about her patients. I remember when I had my first child on a holiday, she came to the hospital to meet us for the first time and she was amazing. The next morning, which was a Saturday, I forgot to schedule my daughter's initial office appointment. Dr. Neustater called me herself to remind me to set up the appointment with her staff. From that point on, I felt like my children were in the right hands.

Dr. Neustater. ..has been my children's pediatrician for the past twenty years(20) she is very friendly and personable. I wish I could use her as my personal physician. Yep! I'm too old. Love you Laura. My children absolutely adores this lady!

moving this past year was hard for me because I was leaving my childs doctor of 10 years and who has also treated my other daughter as well. It was very different this past year and we have missed her and her Wonderful office staff. You will not find a better Doctor that will care for your child. The other doctors are also great in her office they also have a sick area and well area that makes you feel at ease when your there for a check up. the office is very clean and the wait time is not long. She is an Awesome Doctor and im glad im back to bring my newest addition to her.Paitents since 1999 :)

Dr. Neustater is a wonderful pediatrician. No matter what happens, she always seems to keep a smile on her face. She's always sincere and is very pleasant to be around. And as a mother herself, she knows just how to treat and talk to my little jellybean, with lots of TLC. Her personality is perfect for children and babies. She's the best!!!

Dr. Neustater is overal an excellent Doctor. She always takes the time to listen to my concerns about my children and to care for them. She is very professional about her job. The office staffs are excellent with scheduling appointments whenever one of my children is sick or whenever there is an emergency situation. I would recommend Dr. Neustater to all the mothers out there.
