Dr. Laura Norine Olson, MD

Pass on this one… very odd for a doctor. Heavy breathing during examine. She kept listening & feeling my body for long periods of time. Everything I asked about she didn’t acknowledge. When I finally left after 2 hours I talked to another patient in the elevator about my experience. She told me no one will see her.I’m surprised she’s still here. There is my answer avoid this one.

Horrible doctor. Zero bedside manner, rude, disrespectful, condescending, lacks basic human empathy, questions other providers care, stay far away from this doctor.

I would not recommend this doctor. My physical took 1.5 hours. Really?? She spends an absurd amount of time on everything. Spent 3+ minutes looking in each ear, listened to my lungs for 5 minutes with me inhaling and exhaling heavily (I almost passed out because of it), and felt my stomach for 10 minutes. She was thorough but just made me feel extremely uncomfortable. I will be finding another physician for my primary care.

I have been a patient of Dr. Laura Olson's for 22 years. I appreciate her thoroughness in a physical exam. She takes time to listen and always refers to a specialist if she questions her evaluation of a problem. I would highly recommend her if you are looking for a professional who takes her job seriously.

I have been a patient of Dr. Olson about 3 years and am very satisfied. It is rare these days to find a doctor who is apparently not following a time clock with a set number of minutes to "get the job done". She is fully attentive and thorough. It gives me confidence that she is trying not to miss anything.

agree with you guys. not going back to her, been more than once, guess that's why she's the one available for aptmts when call - others know to stay away! Traps you way too long on exams, and recc's specialists too much - likes to find things that are nothing and play them up then u waste time $ at specialist who is like why the heck are u here that's normal - yet dismisses a concern I bring up as not applicable. seems like a power trip then.

As my Primary Care Physician for well over a decade, I appreciate her attention to all aspects of my health. I have never once felt rushed out of her office without having all of my questions discussed at length. My 65 year friends are envious of the excellent care that I receive!

I had a similar experience with this physician. I was very uncomfortable with the length of time she examined ears, throat, breathing, breast exam etc. I actually felt assaulted by her continual heavy hand in her manual examination.

She was a nice to talk to and gave decent answers to my questions. When it came to her questions it seemed like she was very very judgmental. When it came to my physical, I thought I was only there for a blood test when she really was going to examine me. I didn't mind that I was getting a check up. What I did mid though is it took two hours for her to complete the physical that's checking ears, throat, inside the throat, breathing, and abdominal. She kept going side to side looking and re-looking and when I asked how everything was she said it was just fine. Nothing is wrong. This happened on the very first thing she examined. After that I was getting irritated and annoyed with how long this physical was taking. This is or was officially the longest physical I've ever had. Not happy about my experience there. I would NOT recommend this family practitioner to anyone!!
