Dr. Laura Lynn Raftery, MD

Wow, I was so impressed by Dr. Raftery! During the visit she took the time to learn about me personally (my life, hobbies, priorities) as well as my concerns with treatment options. Still in shock over my recent breast cancer diagnosis, I was very anxious about meeting with an oncologist initially; however, Dr. Raftery had such empathy and provided me with hope, as well as options. She made me feel like I had control over my treatment Instead of being stuck on a cancer treatment conveyor belt where decisions were made for me. She's a doctor with an open heart and open mind. ??

Dr. Raftery is compassionate, informative and not at all intimidating. I actually look forward to visiting with her!

Dr. Laura Raftery has been a great oncologist for me. She is empathetic and respectful. She listens to me closely and is not in a hurry. She is available to answer my questions and my family's many questions. She made a complex problem easier to understand and laid out how we would treat it step-by-step. I have never felt pressured â?? she encourages me to take time to make an informed decision. In the past I would be nervous and anxious around a doctor and would forget all the things I wanted to say. With Dr. Raftery, I feel at ease and we converse normally. Most of all, she has offered me hope when I was feeling scared and uncertain. She and her team helped me through treatment and were always available when I needed support and attention. I feel I am an expert hands. She has all of my trust.
