Dr. Laura Herlong Rickenmann, MD

I would not recommend this provider based on my experience. During our visit on April 17, 2026, I requested appropriate screening for my 13-year-old, including anemia evaluation. A CBC showed a low hematocrit and borderline hemoglobin, yet the provider did not review the results with me in detail and declined follow-up testing without explanation. This reflects a broader pattern. Concerns I’ve raised in previous visits have been dismissed rather than addressed, and communication has felt condescending at times and not patient-centered. Parents should feel heard and informed when making decisions about their child’s health. Unfortunately, that level of communication and care was not present in my experience, and I will be changing providers.

First time we have seen Dr. Rickenmann today as our regular doctor was not available. She was very prompt and thorough. I would recommend for a PED.

My daughter, who has a life threatening condition, suffered all night as she would not call in a benign running script which would have alleviated her pain because she wanted to see her first…this med is over the counter…but my daughter cannot swallow a pill so she needed the oral suspension. It was horrible to watch her in pain.

I take my child to see Dr. Rickenmann when my child's regular doctor is not in town. I just love her. She puts me at ease and is so through with my child, I know I am truly getting the care my child needs. Had I had a little girl she would have been my childs doctor.
