Laura M. Schmeiser

Laura Schmeiser is an occupational therapist specializing in neurological rehabilitation at Intermountain Health’s Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation – TOSH Campus Neuro Occupational Therapy in Murray, Utah. She serves patients throughout the Salt Lake Valley, providing care focused on concussion and traumatic brain injury (TBI) management, vision rehabilitation, functional cognitive retraining, community reintegration, and facial rehabilitation. Laura also collaborates closely with neuro-optometrists to deliver comprehensive vision rehabilitation tailored to each patient’s needs.    

Laura has practiced occupational therapy since 2014, primarily in outpatient settings. She is passionate about helping individuals return to school, work, recreation, and everyday life following an acquired brain injury. Her interest in occupational therapy began while working as a substitute teacher, where she witnessed the powerful impact an occupational therapist had …on improving students’ success in the classroom through creative, client-centered strategies.

Supporting individuals as they return to learning remains a particular passion for Laura. She is committed to lifelong learning and to providing current, evidence-based care. Laura also enjoys sharing her expertise with fellow clinicians through presentations and professional workshops.

Outside of the clinic, Laura enjoys renovating her family’s fixer-upper home, searching for the best turkey burger, and exploring national parks with her husband and their two young sons.
