Laura Serna Rico, FNP-BC, is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner practicing at ColumbiaDoctors Primary Care in Midtown Manhattan. She earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from Columbia University School of Nursing.Prior to becoming a nurse practitioner, Ms. Serna Rico worked as an emergency room nurse, where she developed strong clinical acumen in acute care, triage, and the management of complex patient presentations. This experience continues to inform her comprehensive and efficient approach to primary care.Her clinical interests include women’s health, preventive medicine, and the treatment of substance use disorders.
