Dr. Laura Diane Stearman, MD

Do not walk; RUN, RUN from urologist Dr. Laura D. Stearman. She recently performed pelvic prolapse procedures that left me with implanted plastic mesh which I forbade her to use, two painful horrific infections of pseudomonas and C-Diff, an abscess, and two additional hospitalizations. My pelvic floor is destroyed, resulting in constant pain upon sitting, and I now have full blown incontinence. My health is destroyed after weeks upon weeks of heavy hemorrhaging and I am left with the necessity of another surgery to remove the mesh sling and have permanent nerve damage. Flee Dr. Stearman lest your own vaginal health be destroyed! RIN!!! If she has already performed a cystocele or rectocele repair on you, demand your surgical records and copies of her office progress notes for each of your visits. Read them carefully. If you are contemplating pelvic surgery, consult a gynourolgist. Dr. Stearman overpromised and underdelivered! She misrepresented the true facts of my surgery to my… family and to me. Caveat Emptor Buyer Beware of this physician!!!

Worst physician ever! She put a urinary devise in me, and I had to have it cut out because it was too tight. She can do the procedures, but not handle the complications or take the devices out! She is the worst physician I have ever been too.

Dr. Stearman put a sling in me at Lakeside Hospital, even though I told her staff that I only had slight leakage occasionally. When I left Lakeside my sling was so tight, I could not urinate or walk. Dr. Stearman would not return my calls, and her nurse told me that Dr. Stearman could not remove the sling. My doctor at Lakeside kept trying to help me and finally found specialist that would see me at OU. Stearman put the sling in me knowing very well I did not even need it!!!! I was told at OU that they see her patients for sling removal all the time! Please be careful; I don't want this aweful, painful life changing ordeal to happen to anyone else!!!! I can't believe Lakeside uses her!!! She is a horrid surgeon!!!

Doc Stearman is very through (?? or testing) with your visit each & every time. She's kind, compassionite, & very knowlegable. It's easy to get an apptoint if your in a lot of pain, where others send you to ER or make u wait. The staff is just a curteous. Embarrassing necassary testing still done with the most compentency & patient discrection at mind. I would shout words of praise from the highest building recommending this doctor.

This surgeon has ruined our lives!!! We have had to have four surgeries total and still not fixed after a specialist at OU medical. Center we will NEVER be able to have sex again from it just being to painful. The have you from the medical time to sue against anything like this is 2 years so you dont even know you are seriously injured until the time is up
