Terrible experience with treatment for acne. I do not recommend Dr Laura Tamburin.

Difficult to get an appointment with Dr Tamburin after initial evaluation and set-up of care plan. Due to difficulty getting on Tamburin’s schedule, all of the follow-up care was with Ms.Culpepper. Not sure if Culpepper is a PA or nurse practitioner. Either way...poor management and poor care provided. The mismanagement of the medication Tamburin prescribed caused life-long damaging results. Horrific experience.

i found Dr Tamburin to have a dispassionate, robotic air about her. Very cold and disconnected feeling in the treatment room. I will not return to Dr Tamburin. I believe she simpley dabbles in dermatology part-time. She is the wife of a physician and mother of three teenage children. I believe her focus is not, nor has it been, on keeping current in the dermatology field. Look elsewhere for a knowledgeable and dedicated dermatologist!

Prescribed improper medication and then she and her PA did not closely manage the treatment program resulting in medical complications.

Dr Laura Tamburin prescribed medication that had detrimental effects on my child. She did not understand the negative physiological effects of the medication she prescribed. By the time I realized the medical issues my child was experiencing were directly related to the medicine she prescribed, it was too late...the damage to my child’s body was done. I believe she has poor knowledge, skills, and abilities as a dermatologist and I do NOT recommend Dr.Laura Tamburin.

Felt like just a number to her....she prescribed a medication that caused other medical issues to arise. She appears to give generic dermatology treatment to her patients instead of thoroughly evaluating each patient individually and providing a patient specific plan of care. Still dealing with the adverse effects of the medication she prescribed. I do not recommend Dr. Laura Tambirin

Dr. Tamburin prescribed accutaine to my 15 year old pubescent teen which resulted in stunting his growth. Talking with my pediatrician the use of this medication (while in puberty age range) negativejy effects the endocrine system (pituitary, Thyroid,etc) and can be linked to stunting bone growth in children/teens who are still growing. Dr Tambirin denied the medication she prescribed could effect bone growth and refused to order any folloq-up blookwork ti check if the meducatikn has effected my sons endocrine function. Rather, after several phone calls and requests, she reluctantly referred us to an endocrinologist. Unbelievable that she is still prescribing this medication! Leads me to believe she is behind in medical drug information...vet scary. I do not recommend Dr Tamburin . And- if you are considering accutaine to treat your child’s acne, please DO NOT ni matter how much Dr Tamburin downplayed the side effects id the drug. Terrible drug...and I wish we had not so… blindly trusted Dr Tamburn.
