Dr. Laura Lynn Tatpati, MD

I saw Dr. Tatpati and the experience was humiliating and negative. I came away from the appointment feeling hurt, embarrassed and upset. In my late 30's trying to conceive with Diminished Ovarian Reserve. I will only see a female and she is the only one to see. She refused to treat me (at the end, she said she would treat me but told me it was pointless and a waste and at that point I felt so terrible I never wanted to see her again). I can understand if she feels my case is hopeless; however, her bedside method was nonexistent. She was rude, interrupted, cut me off and told me there is no hope for me to conceive. She would not perform labs or examination based on high FSH and lab tests. I had gotten pregnant one year earlier which was an early miscarriage. I didn't feel cared for, listened to or taken serious as a patient. Unfortunately, because I will only see a female, there is no other treatment available for me in Wichita.

Our experience with Dr. Tatpati was deplorable. She never returned calls, never offered a diagnosis, did not test, and was just basically non respondent to our needs. Our daughter has PCOS and Tatpati was either not caring of the situation or did not know what to do. We waited for days for her to return calls and when we did receive a call back it was from the nurse. Dr. Tatpati splits her time between her practice and her teaching responsibilities. If she is teaching what she practices then everyone she touches will not benefit.

Dr.Tatpati agreed to take my case on eventhough she had a full case load after listening to my struggles from my physician. She was very knowledgable and knew what she was doing. After fighting to find out what was wrong with me for the previous two years, one look at results from a test and a meeting and we knew what was wrong. She did not try to give me a bunch of unecessasry expensive garb or charge my insurance for extra things that could have led to additional costs to me. I am looking forward to working with her again in the near future as my husband and I ttc.

Felt very rushed & did not listen to our situation!!! We wanted to try the least medicated option but she said since we were military that tricare pays for all the injections and meds so we'd be crazy not to do that! Rude & felt like because of our good insurance she didnt stop to think what was best for us!

Very knowledgeable, takes time to answer all questions, positive attitude. She performed a very nice surgery and I've had great experiences overall.
