Took the time to understand my questions and explained how and why her proposed treatment would help me get better. Told me how to order a suppression sock and how to include my physical therapist in dressing the would. Explained each supply to me and how to use it

Dr. Tom is the most uncompassionate and heartless doctor I have ever encountered. She has no empathy or consideration for sanctity of human life. She has destroyed my mothers body with her botched surgery. Dr. Tom had no concern for my Mothers suffering and pain following her surgical complications. Dr. Tom did not follow my mother after surgery and put my mothers care into the hands of residents and her nurse practitioner. She did not return any of my phone calls and did not tell me what went wrong with my mothers surgery. There were no explanations, and no clear answers just hints from staff that the surgery was done by student doctors !!!!! Dr.Tom had used my mothers ill, frail, and disease stricken body as a teaching surgical case for residents and interns !!!!!! My mother was under anesthesia for 8 hours to be practiced upon by her residents. This action was done absolutely against our wishes and without my mothers permission or consent. I complained but it got no where, they… told me everyone has to learn somewhere !!!!!!! All doctors need to be trained !!! No one answered me why on my old, ill mother ????? Who is taking care of my mother now ??? Me or those residents that practiced surgery on her or Dr. Tom who had the glory of staging my ill mothers body for teaching demonstration?? I strongly advise anyone reading this review to avoid this surgeon and her team. She will scar your body, and your soul, she will break your spirit and your heart. She will make you loose faith in the American Medical System. It is hard enough to be ill and have a disease, but what is worse is to be in the hands of a mean spirited surgeon who breaks you even further, a surgeon who creates inordinate amount of damage, with wounds that won’t heal and scars that won’t go away. A surgeon who has no empathy for you as a human being and will destroy you in every possible way. I am impressed with terrible fragility of human body and unbelievable resiliency of human spirit

This review is on behalf of my sister who has undergone surgery by Dr Tom. My entire family is mortified by the extent of agony, distress, damage, disrespect my sister has been put through by Dr Tom. She has suffered so much complications and Dr. Tom does not even acknowledge or take responsibility for her botched surgery. Dr Tom did not see my sister or the family post surgery and there was no follow up except for one visit where she pulled out the JP drains . After that my sister has been followed by nurse practitioner who answers to all my sisters and mothers questions by saying she does not know the answer, and she was not in the surgery. Dr Tom has relegated the care to her residents and nurse practitioner and that is unacceptable. My sister is a strong woman but she is now destroyed physically, mentally , and emotionally in the hands of Dr Tom. Where is the justice or care ? Where is compassion ? Why would a doctor act more like a butcher than a doctor ???? Why would Dr Tom… destroy another woman's body and use human body for teaching students (as she confessed to my sister and mother) and be allowed to move on ??? My sister is suffering and Dr Tom got paid, and moved to the next case! Where is the care and compassion for human life? Did Dr Tom forget the Hippocatic Oat that she supposedly took : First Do No Harm ? I am telling all women out there to stay away from Dr Tom . No one should be going through what my sister and as a result my family is going through right now. I will not let my family or friends go to any hospitals where Dr Tom works at.

She is easy to talk to and easy to relate to. She is very down to earth and helps lessen the uncomfortable feeling of showing you... with her easy manner and laughter.

I am always well informed, cared for and I feel like I am a part of the process when I visit Dr Tom's office.
