Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare:I wanted a career of service to others. Nursing requires a unique combination of knowledge and skills along with empathy and compassion. It is a career that requires the nurse to continue with lifelong learning. It is a privilege to be able to help others through difficult healthcare issues. Nursing is one of the most trusted professions, and I strive to earn that trust with every one of my patients. What I want my patients to know about me:I strive to give each and every patient excellent care to ensure the best possible outcomes with their procedure and health care. There is a quote by Maya Angelou that I really like: ""They may forget your name, but they will never forget how you made them feel."" I want my patients always remember how I made them feel. What I do when I'm not seeing patients:I enjoy reading a good book, and I like photography.
