Dr Richardson is the most caring and helpful therapist either myself or our daughter has seen.

Laura has really helped recover my marriage; through the use of Imago therapy, she has allowed for me and my wife to better understand each other and communicate more effectively. She is very knowledgeable, personable, and her compassion is clearly evident.

John, I'm glad someone was of help to you and your family. I can't speak to any of the other reviews, nor would I think it wise to characterize them, but quite frankly Richardson actually created more problems than she resolved. I don't question her compassion but I do question her training and experience. I would gladly detail how this manifested itself, but there isn't sufficient space to give adequate detail. Suffice it to say my child was better off with no guidance than her ill advised and ill conceived recommendations.

Dr. Richardson has been a huge help with our teenage daughter. Her self-harming has ceased and her behavior has improved to a level where she can lead a normal life again. When I read the spiteful one-star reviews here, it is obvious they are written by a troubled former patient. I suggest you read them as a reflection of Dr. Richardson's commitment to working with the most difficult patients. Dr. Richardson is probably the most credentialed DBT therapist in NJ and sits on multiple medical advisory boards. She also happens to be one of the most compassionate people I have ever met.

Creates trust based upon a wonderful outgoing personality however we found her to be inexperienced, uniformed, critical, manipulative absolutely manipulative, especially when she feels cornered attempts to make you feel stupid for asking a question she doesn't know the answer to - in my opinion a fraud.

Dr. Richardson probably saved the life of our teenage daughter. She works miracles!
