Dr. Laura Balderrama Morley, MD

Stay away from this practice at all costs. I chose them because they were the only all-female practice that delivered at Morristown Hospital, but looking back, I would have gone with a male provider just to avoid this practice. I am a very educated and curious person and came to appointments with questions. They found this very frustrating and gave me one-word answers. I got induced at 39 weeks on a Monday evening. When the next doctor (Dr. Morley- AVOID!!) from the practice started her shift at 8 am Tuesday, she had the balls to say to me, mid-induction "Why are you even bothering? Why can't we just do a c section?". Then, lo and behold, 24 hours later, I was forced to have a c-section because she said the baby's heart rate was dropping every time I pushed. My husband was asking her questions to understand what the patterns on the heart rate monitor meant and her response was "I shouldn't have to explain anything to you!! I went to four years of residency for this!" (This was… Dr. Morley again). She refused to let me push any more and told her nurses to not allow me to either. So she ultimately got what she wanted - a c section. And when I went in for my 6 weeks post-op visit, I wanted to ask her more about the circumstances and what she saw when she opened me up, to understand if I could be a candidate for a VBAC. She gave me a one-word answer and said she has no idea and couldn't give me any more context. Absolutely horrible, uncaring, disrespectful, and creating traumatic experiences for mothers on what should be a happy day for them.

Great experience. Dr. Morley is knowledgeable, friendly, caring and competent. Always willing to discuss and explain health concerns and options. Very caring and amicable.

For the first time I got Dr. Morely who works in my doctor's practice. I am staying with her. She makes you feel so comfortable, easy to talk to. She is wonderful.
