Dr. Laurel J Mehler, MD

Dr. Mehler has been our child’s pediatrician since birth, and we could not be happier with the care she provides. She is incredibly knowledgeable and clearly committed to continuously educating herself. During visits she often shares the latest information and resources with us — she even recommended an epidemiologist’s newsletter so we could stay informed about current health topics. Whenever our child has been sick, we’ve been able to see her within a day. She takes concerns seriously, knows exactly which tests to order when needed, and has always been spot-on with her diagnoses. When specialist care was necessary, she connected us with excellent local providers. Dr. Mehler is thoughtful, thorough, and genuinely cares about her patients. We feel very lucky to have her as our pediatrician and highly recommend her.

Dr. Mehler has been my pediatrician ever since I was a baby, I always had exceptional experiences with her. She always responded very attentively to my concerns, answered any questions I had, and gave great care overall. She listens attentively and truly cares about her patients needs. I would definitely recommend if you are searching for a doctor that is punctual and trustworthy.

I highly recommend Dr Mehler. I have brought my child to her for several years for everything from check ups to vaccinations to illnesses. I know I can trust her scientific knowledge and I feel she is both cautious and logical when it comes to discussing symptoms or risks. Dr Mehler is very responsive and cares more about her patients than money.

Rude, off-target remarks and unsolicited "advice", her car out front is filthy, and her "office" is a sublet from a podiatrist a few times a month. Referred us another doctor for covid vaccine who gave me a hematoma at the injection site. Ordered many tests for my daughter which we paid for and she never shared the results. She is anti-sports for kids so if your child is an athlete do not go here. Overall very weird third-world-country vibe.

Dr. Mehler has been the pediatrician for both my boys since they were babies. She is knowledgeable & very thorough. She is also very responsive, which is so important when your child is not feeling well.

Dr. Mehler is the best! She has been our pediatrician since my daughters were born, My oldest is now 7. She is very easy to get ahold of, always available, the most I've ever waited during apt is maybe 10min tops. She is not pushy, she just tells it like it is. Absolutely recommend her!!!

Dr. Mehler has cared for both my daughters (ages 14 and 5) since they were born. I love the way she takes the time to really explain shots, tests, diagnoses, etc. to both me and my girls. They like her and trust her, and so do I.It can be hard to get an appointment on short notice for routine things, but she always fits you in if you're sick. It's true that her office help has rotated a lot over the years, though. Some have been great, others much less so. She needs an office manager that is as dedicated and caring as she is. I like that she sometimes brings in students to watch/participate as she sees patients - it's nice to see a doctor giving back to the community that way!

I would not reccommend tis doctor to anyone ! It's very hard to get an appointment unless your in the office or call several times. She is quite pushy and rude and makes you feel incompetent. My child was always afraid of her. Her billing is out of control as well and overall everything is unprofessional. Also, does not find issues that are very clear to other doctors, like ear infections.

Tried to say my child had scoleosis---took her to a specialist and not even close. Yelled at me & office staff had me running around to get a prescription. Office staff changes constantly which probably indicates she's hard to work for.

Dr. Mehler has been amazing with our daughter. She is extremely knowledgeable and caring and has excellent follow-up. I have recommended her to several friends who have been very happy as well. It is very clear how much Dr. Mehler cares about children.
