Dr. Laurel Elizabeth Morrison, MD

I've been going in to see Dr. Morrison for years now and was always on the fence about her and her patient care. I'll bullet point my key issues as to why I no longer have her as my primary doctor. - The amount of promised follow-ups from her and her team as well as outside resources that she said would contact me that NEVER came or came WEEKS later exceed the amount of fingers I have; and I have all 10. - Multiple issues that I have brought up for YEARS have been left untreated with a seemingly lack of interest in figuring out what it is that's causing them. Mainly chronic pain and headaches. - EVERY appointment I felt very rushed and that she was listening but not really hearing my concerns. - At one point I didn't see her for 2 years to AVOID the experience and subsequently had no Doctor care for that time either, as I wasn't in the position to switch. Overall I hear good things about her as I have friends who see her as well but ultimately Dr. Morrison is a popular… Doctor and works at a busy Clinic and I feel I'm one of the patients that has slipped through the cracks and is stranded in the Limbo of her patient care. Now that I'm able and in the position to switch Doctors I am doing so.

I found Dr Morrison very pleasant and a good listener. She accomplished what I needed plus more in a decent time frame

Dr Morrison has been my primary physician for approx 15 years. It always amazes me how well she remembers me when I come in for my yearly well visit. I have never had a doctor spend soo much time listening to my concerns and giving me many options about my health care. In a world full of rushed appts, I always feel like she allows extra time to give to each patient. I always reccomend her to family and friends.

I quit Dr Morrison awhile back - for 2 reasons.1) I noted that my annual physical took all of 15 minutes - and that included a pap smear! I would have liked a bit more time spent.2) For several years I had been asking Dr Morrison for a bone density scan - since I have such a small frame. She kept saying no - that I was too young. I believe I asked at every physical for 3 or more years - same response. I switched doctors after I had the speedy check up, and immediately he suggested that I have a bone density scan. Surprise - it showed that I had osteoporosis. I regret not pushing it with Dr Morrison. Had I had the scan a few years prior, I could have been treating my condition much earlier. I feel that her decision to not allow me to have a bone density scan bordered on malpractice.

They have been so great to me and my family Love them all for takign great care of us....14 years now......

Dr. Morrison is excellent at identifying potentially helpful treatments without overmedicating. She is extremely efficient bedside and great with my son; she's good at explaining the treatment options and purposes quickly and clearly. She has treated a few "odd" issues for us without ever making us feel bad for having strange questions.I feel that she has the long-term wellness of her patients in mind, which might explain why we see her so rarely - though we're always glad to see her.
