Dr. Lauren Herchak Ayersman, DO

Dr. Ayersman is not only a very knowledgeable doctor but also personable. She listens and is more than happy to answer any questions we might have and we never felt rushed during our appointments. Office scheduling and follow-ups is also easy and efficient.

I would not recommend Dr. Lauren Ayersman to my worst enemy. She does not know what she is talking about, she does not care about her patients, listen to them, nor follow up on anything (i.e. symptoms, labs, imaging, etc.) She is unable to safely mange patients particularly any patient with a preexisting condition or comorbidity. As a primary care physician myself, I am embarrassed to have let my family member be 'cared' for by such a careless provider! Dr. Ayersman ordered ultrasounds and CTs to which she never followed up on once life threatening results were found. She didn't even bother to call the patient & inform her of these results, thankfully I had been reviewing her chart & was able to find her appropriate referrals after nearly 8 months of waiting on Dr. Ayersman to do nothing but incorrectly mange a patient yet again. Hopefully it is not too late & the patient will be able to get appropriate treatment. Dr. Ayersman also knows absolutely nothing about the endocrine system… and how to mange it. After hounding her down for recommendations for the patient whom had critical lab levels & was extremely symptomatic she instructed us to increase her medication dose, when I questioned her about it she claimed we should treat based on her symptoms not her levels. Which once again was wrong as confirmed by the endocrinologist who stated " I do not know what this doctor was thinking, this is completely wrong!" Dr. Ayersman negligence is astounding

Would recommend her for Males with Low Testosterone, Diabetes, High Blood Pressure. etc

I was treated poorly by her. She talked down to me, told me that I didn’t have to worry about bladder cancer any more (found cancer a month later), and didn’t address the pain that I was in. She intimated that perhaps I just wanted drugs.... without investigating the pain. I needed a hip replacement as it turned out! After losing weight purposely, I came in with extreme low blood pressure. Instead of seeing me, she told the assistant to tell me to go to the emergency room, when stopping the blood pressure meds were the right choice. In her defense, she at least came into the room when I said that I was not going to the emergency room... and agreed to stop blood pressure meds.
