Dr. Lauren Bloch, MD, FAAFP, Dipl, ABOM

I’ve been very impressed with Dr. Bloch. I think I might not always be the easiest patient to deal with but she was very empathetic to what I was going through. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone. I seemed to have a whole lot of issues all at once and she spent a lot of time and energy into making sure I knew how to move forward. I was really worried about my health but I felt much more optimistic about everything after our appointment. She helped me with some serious problems that other doctors ignored. I’m very thankful to have her help!

She is very knowledgeable and has a great bedside manner.

I had an appointment with Dr Bloch. She was very nice on that first visit. I was switching from a doctor I’d been seeing for over 10 years. He was getting ready to retire and I was new to this area so the change made sense. I had a great relationship with my doctor who saw me through a lot of medical issues with his experience and professionalism. Dr Bloch didn’t seem to have much faith in my longtime doc. She disagreed with RX’s he was prescribing. Within 30 minutes of knowing me, she changed meds I’ve been taking for years. Then, getting a refill was hard because she only works 4 days a week. If you try to get her before a weekend, you’re stuck for almost 4 days (at least that’s what it was when I saw her). Anyway, I’m a senior and have always had long and very positive relationships with my doctors. I still do with specialists I see. Also, on my first visit to her, she didn’t ask me who I was seeing but wanted to send me to a whole new list of specialists. I think she lacks… confidence. Anyway, the final outcome was, we protested and complained about the problems we we having with her. To add insult to injury, she fired myself and my wife. This means no doctor at White River either can or will see us. We are able to use their ER but our options for a conveniently located doc were squashed by Dr Block’s pushback to complaints about her. It’s funny that I’ve made it all these years with good dr/patient relationships and then I meet Dr Lauren Bloch. I wish her the best but she needs to think twice before being vindictive. I feel that I’ve been polite and did not deserve the lack of attention from her which led to our complaint and then being fired by her! Seniors need patient and experienced doctors who arent so quick to change a care routine without adequate time and information.

Went to see her and after one visit she had appointments set up with multiple specialists in Batesville. There was no need for that as my husband already had specialists he saw as needed. He had established relationships with these doctors that went back for quite a few years. She never referred to his records for this but instead just went off in her own direction. She changed his meds, did not know enough about him to do this and caused many problems. We feel that she is inexperienced, has no confidence and has need to refer to specialists when not necessary. She is a young doctor and probably good for a flu or routine clinic medicine. However, if you have complications and ongoing medical issues, she is not for you. She also works a short week.

My daughter was seen in the Er for a serious concussion, her regular doctor was out of town for the next day follow up, not only was Dr Bloch willing to see her she was extrememyl thorough and monitored her frequently for two months it took for my daughter to get back to normal. I will always be thankful for the care my daughter received with such a scary injury.

I feel she is unsure of herself. I've never been to so many specialists. She is always looking for another opinion for minor issues. Seeing we have no specialists here I am driving hours in all directions.

I wish I could take my 4 star review back. Dr Bloch was on her best behavior at our first meeting. When follow up time came, she dropped the ball and could have put my husband in the hospital by an act of sheer non professionalism and poor judgement. I had to calll the office that administrates her office to get her cooperation. She is young and has not got the right attitude or sense of responsibility to care for seniors. I’m sure she’s fine for a flu or something minor. Her lack of compassion. was startling. She had us fooled until it came to an urgent matter. I strongly do not recommend her for senior care. She works Tuesday through Friday as she is a new mother. I think her priorities are now family. That’s fine but leave the medicine to full time doctors who at least care 7 days a week.

My reason for four stars instead of five is that I’ve only seen Dr.Bloch once. She was very thorough and professional while at the same time, warm and responsive to my questions and needs. If she stays the same, which I feel she will, it definitely be five stars!
