Dr. Lauren Anne Eckstein, MD

This is not a skilled surgeon. Dr. Eckstein did surgery on my eyelids which was not successful. Dr. Eckstein did a second surgery 4 months later; again not successful. I went to two other surgeons for another opinion. Both let me know the same thing; both surgeries weren’t successful due to two botched surgeries. I have suffered a lot of pain, loss of work and scar tissue due to the lack of skill or care by Dr. Eckstein.

Dr. Eckstein provided excellent ‘doctoring’ when I visited her. She was approachable, answered all my questions without rolling her eyes or letting on that maybe I was a bit too anxious. (I’m that way with all doctors.) She was very kind and supportive at the pre-surgery consult in the hospital and reassured me many times that my fears were valid and that not to worry because none of them were going to happen. She did an excellent job stitching me up and the after visit was all smiles and positive results. She’s truly an artist and a compassionate skilled doctor.

Dr. Eckstein removed my eyelid cancer that had reoccurred after 7 yrs. Little tissue was left and I am severely reactive to dissolvable sutures. She listened to my concerns, collaborating with my on removal time of the prolene sutures The result has been wonderful! No splitting, open wounds for months, healed in 2 weeks. Brilliant, kind and respectful to patient concerns.
