Dr. Lauren Ruth Hodas, MD

At first she seemed nice and professional but when things got slightly complicated, she dropped me with a one line email. No notice, no referrals, whatsoever. Totally unprofessional and uncaring.

Dr. Hodas is clinically excellent and incredibly kind. Before her, I struggled with finding good care, and I have been with her for over 15 years. When I started, I saw her three times a week. For the past few years, it's been only once or twice a year. She wants her patients to live and be well!

I saw Dr. Hodas a few times. She knows her stuff but she really needs to work on her "bedside manor" and empathy. She is quick to be impatient if you can't see her when it works for her and will "dump" you as a patient by phone without very much notice at all. I'd much rather have a kind doctor. It makes a difference. I also had a crisis while she was away and the doctor on call was very rude and she never inquired about what happened.

Initially it was difficult to get an appointment because her hours are limited. She was able to schedule me after a cancellation. I have been with this doctor for five years. She is attentive and caring. She is not judgmental, and I trust her advice. Her follow up during a crisis is excellent, and always get a call returned. I would recommend her to a friend.

After seeing 4 other doctors, she has been the best.
