Dr. Lauren Carole Pinter-Brown, MD

She was my oncologist throughout chemotherapy and was not warm or compassionate at all. She was dismissive when I asked questions about other more natural therapies. I only saw her a few times over my treatment and instead always saw her nurse practitioner. Dr. Pinter-Brown made a comment during one visit that, "I feel like I missed most of your treatment!", which is not something you want your doctor to say. But the thing that caused me to switch doctors is that she didn't look carefully at my scans and compare them to each other. By not doing that, she missed something important. I also never felt like saw me as an individual.

Was referred by my oncologist after breast cancer treatment. Her office did not inform me that she was out of network so I had to pay $500 for the consultation. I had a blood test just before seeing her that was billed $2,612.62. I asked what it was for and the technician told me that is was for HIV testing and others, I thought it was a simple blood work, not such an expensive lab test! Out of pocket with insurance $781.34 and NO DIAGNOSIS. I cannot trust a doctor who wants to feed her greed.

Saw her many years ago at L.A. County. She was warm and caring, explaied procedures every step of the way.

Dr. Pinter-Brown is the nicest, smartest doctor ever!! I just love her. She's been treating my husband for lymphoma for the past 6 years - we are so very comfortable with her and she ALWAYS has her patients best interests at heart and she's very down to earth. We just love her.

I like that my insurance covers UCLA ..but i feel like they over schedule..im annoyed by wait times and not apologizing for time delayed

She is one of the best doctors in California. i wish you could have gotten the chance to fully help my grandfather, but little did we know that it was already to late for him and he past the night you saw him. I wish i could thank her and her beautiful staff for all of their hard work.

I am fortunate to have Dr. Pinter-Brown for my doctor. She is knowledgeable and caring. Her staff is excellent and always puts me at ease. I believe I get the best medical care available and hope to live many years as a result. Dr. Pinter-Brown thank you for making my illness much more tolerable!

Dr. Pinter-Brown came highly recommended but we still consulted at City of Hope before deciding upon UCLA and Dr. Pinter-Brown. Her manner was friendly, personal, and put us at ease. She and her staff were courteous, professional, kind and knowledgeable. Cancer is difficult enough to deal with without having a doctor like Dr. Pinter-Brown in your corner. She is the best!

The overall experience with Dr. Pinter-Brown was very poor. She has no compassion and a terrible bedside manner. Dealing with cancer is hard enough and having a doctor like her made it almost unbearable. I would not recommend her to anybody and I would advise those dealing with lymphoma to look for another oncologist with some humanity.
