Dr. Lauren E Strohm, DO

I have been going to female primary care physicians for decades and have never had a bad experience until Dr. Strohm. She has horrible bedside manner, didn't treat me with respect, acted like she knows everything and I know nothing, treated me with disdain, and argued with me. When I repeated to my husband things she'd said to me, he was astonished that a doctor could be so obnoxious to a patient. In fact, I don't think I ever have had a male physician treat me with so much disrespect (and that's saying something, given that I've been alive since the sexist 50s). I would guess that Dr. Strohm's poor attitudes are rooted in insecurity. She needs to find another line of work.

I've seen Dr Strohm a handful of times since she took over for my old doctor, who has since retired. This woman needs to learn how to interact with other humans! She also needs to go back to school and study more about medications and what the repercussions are to the patients she wants to "cold turkey" off of the medicine they've been taking for years! She's a very cold, unsympathetic doctor, who has no right working with the general public, IF even another human being! Terrible! I'm currently looking for another doctor, and will NEVER see this woman again! And for God's sake, woman, learn some compassion and manners!

Never and I mean never again. Absolutely rude. My first and last visit with her.

I really loved going to Dr. Strohm. She always took time with me and I never felt rushed. She remembered various things about me personally that made her even more personable. She would even be "real" with me and tell me to relax when she knew I was too anxious about things. She was never terse or dismissive. Always informative, professional, and kind. I'd like to see where she moved to as she left the office I used to go to. I haven't been to the doctor in a long while.

I saw her many times over two years - her demeanor was never consistent. One visit she was almost giddy about someone she was dating ( she talks way too much about her personal life) and at the next visit, she was morose. Just not someone who instills confidence or presents maturity to her patients.

I gave this young doctor the benefit of the doubt and grew to trust, then wham! This doctor panics and comes to erroneous conclusions that can lead to irreparable harm. I tried to mediate with administration unfortunately: stonewalled. It is a shame. Lauren Strohm's conduct is reprehensible and absolutely needs to be addressed.

Dr. Strohm is the absolute best physician I have ever seen. She is thorough and knows her stuff ,but also brings herself down to your level and is seriously understanding of your needs. I would highly recommend her. She should be voted for TOP DOC

Is it possible to give 0 stars? I had a terrible experience with Doctor Strohm. I had my first intake with her and she asked about my medical history. I told her about my brother who had just died of an illness. The death was recent so I started to cry a little. She had ZERO sympathy and told me she wasn't my therapist and did not have time to talk to me about my brothers death. Her bedside manner is off putting and I really have no idea why she would choose to work with people. I have never met such a rude and unsympathetic doctor. A few weeks ago I was very sick with what seemed to be a serious sinus infection. I called the weekend number and was told to wait up to 15 minutes to hear from the doctor on call who happened to be Doctor Strohm. I waited hours and never heard from her. DO NOT go to Doctor Strohm. She should not be practicing medicine or interacting with humans.

Horrible ... not very medically educated. Arrogant, off-putting. Needs to go into med research, something not involving humans.

Dr. Strohm promptly saw me when I was having extreme discomfort with a urinary tract infection. The in office urine test was done immediately. She sent it to her lab for confirmation that it was a true infection and that I was given the appropriate antibiotics. This was fortunate because I had an infection strain that needed a rather specific medication. She was knowledgeable and handled the problem efficiently. Her chair-side manner is friendly and pleasant, yet professional. I give her my highest rating, and I will continue to see her as my family physician. I would recommend her to my adult children, which should tell readers how much I trusted her judgement.
