Dr Thoma was great, she’s very understanding and listens giving me full attention being a new patient it’s hard to find a doctor you feel comfortable with I look forward to building a trust relationship with her

Dr. Thoma is a great listener. She spends her time listening and clarifies that she understands your concerns or health issues. She has never raced out of the room or seemed preoccupied when I have seen her. When I needed an appointment with a specialist at her recommendation, she followed through and followed up after my appointment. I am definitely continuing to utilize her services.

Dr. Thoma provided me with incorrect information about my diagnosis, as I learned later when I consulted with a specialist.

Dr. Lauren Thoma appears to have a complete lack of enthusiasm for being a doctor, which is odd because she's only been one for slightly more than one year. I engaged in a number of initiatives to improve my health, and never once did she seem happy about the significant efforts that I had made on my own. In addition, she stands during every single appointment, never once sitting down, making it appear that she doesn't wish to stay too long in the examination room. How can a patient bring up sensitive subjects when she is standing there as though she is going to bolt from the examination room at any moment? Also, when Dr. Thoma went on maternity leave (for about three months), Summit Medical Group did not have any kind of plan for her patients. I was merely told that I could see her nurse or the PA in her absence. That is not a plan for patients expecting to see a doctor for their medical care. Why not divide up Dr. Thoma's patients among the other doctors at the practice? Summit… Medical Group really dropped the ball.

She listens without interrupting, pays attention to YOU not the computer! At one point I came in several times over seceral months and apologized for being a burden. She smiled and said ..." you are NOT a burden, this is my job to make you feel better, now let's talk about it"! Very pleasant and never seems like she's in a hurry!! Thank you for being so kind!

My weight loss didn't seem to mean a thing to her. Go figure.

Dr. Thoma pays attention to me during my visits. Too many doctors stare into their computer screens, barely noticing that there is a patient in the exam room.

Dr. Thoma sees my teenage daughter and she is always so amazing with her. She really listens and helps us manage her medical issues.
