If you are dealing with benzo tapering or withdrawal symptoms, don't go to her. Not at all knowledgeable in this, nor does she seem willing to educate herself on this. Also very inaccessible.

I have been seeing Dr Lauren Wagner for 6 years now and I must say she is outstanding. She has a very kind heart. She has always looked out for my best interests. She goes out of her way in order to get where I need to be. She even called me after hours to check up on me and provide some additional options. Most doctors would not do that in my opinion. If your looking for a physiatrist that always looks out for your best interests, has an open ear and is just overall great, she is the perfect fit. She is also very easy to talk to and non judgmental. Thanks so much Dr Wagner.

Wow just wow. I’m completed taken aback about this experience. Have tried to call to schedule an appointment with her for over two weeks now. I have called at different times, even waited because I knew she was on vacation. To receive a very rude and frustrated voicemail about how she will not play phone tag with me anymore, won’t see me, and how I need to try to be more available if I want to see someone because she and the doctors she knows are very busy. In her voicemail she said she clearly told me to let her know times I was available on the phone. I did not hear this because she talked so much my voicemail cut her off, and I am in one of the busiest seasons at my job. I understand you need to have your boundaries but I am very busy as well I work a hectic job that pulls me into meetings at all hours of the day. Here is a tip. You are a Medical Professional working in downtown Chicago. Maybe just maybe hire someone to schedule your appointments. Wow! Novel idea! I think… you could afford to pay a receptionist!!! Since you are way too busy to try and help potential patients a receptionist would be able to solve that problem for you!! I am more than willing to work with someone but if I cannot even get ahold of them how can I do that. Most medical professionals/offices have receptionist or schedulers available to solve this problem because doctors are busy. We are all busy that is why we come up with solutions to these problems. We do not blame the people seeking help. Also, blaming a potential patient for you not having a better system in place is ridiculous and very triggering for someone seeking out the help of a psychiatric. Extremely unprofessional. Seems like I dodged a bullet.

Dr Wagner has been superb with both medication management and therapy. Highly recommended.

Lauren Wagner is conversational and easy to talk to. However, she lacks important knowledge in psychiatric medication side effects. She also runs late and uptight.

Excellent physician. Would highly recommend her.

Dr. Wagner is engaged and wants the best outcome for her patients. She works to find medications that will work with the fewest side effects. She treats you as an equal, has good boundaries and doesn't assume she knows everything.
