Dr. Laurence Mark Adams, MD

Dr. Adams is the prime example of excellence. He has been my Dr. for 2 decades. Professional in all aspects of his practice. The only thing I worry about is who am I going to when he retires.

You could not find a better doctor than Dr. Adams.....

Dr. Adams always takes the time to listen to me and my appointments with him never seems rushed. He is always quick to know what to do to take care of any problems I'm having. And good about giving his honest opinion regarding my other doctors advice, as well.

Dr. Adams is the best physician I have ever had. I have been going to him for over 20 years. When we lived in Florida I would fly back each year to have my annual physical with him. He is an attentive, compassionate man, who listens to me and my concerns. I highly recommend him.

I am usually a big fan of American Health Network, but the Zionsville family practice location is awful. I have seen Dr. Adams and his MA, Ashley D. every visit. Not once, but TWICE they gave my 6 month old daughter a vaccine that I specifically stated she was NOT supposed to get. I happened to catch it the first time before they gave it to her, but I didn't the second time until after the shots were given. I was FURIOUS. When I addressed this with the office manager, she told me that the "medical assistant" (not even a nurse) was crying, that she had only been working in the family practice field for a year and was still in training... essentially defending her employee for making such a HUGE mistake. She explained that there were 3 steps she should have followed and had any one of them happened like they were supposed to (1. follow doctors orders 2. give me the pamphlets of info about each vaccine beforehand 3. have me sign the form stating which vaccinations were being given… beforehand) then it could have been avoided all together. I told the office manager that I wanted to file a formal complaint with corporate and she took my information and said she'd get back to me on how to do so. Well almost 2 weeks later, of course I still have no word from her... so I called corporate myself and the next day I got a call back from her after corporate contacted her about what happened. The communication between the doctors and staff here is severely lacking as well as any emphasis on following protocol. Thankfully my daughter is fine, but needless to say I will not be back nor do I recommend this practice to anyone.

I came to Dr. Adams with a PPO insurance plan. He took his time and ordered tests that helped me. When my insurance changed, so did his level of care. He was rushing me through visits, stopped ordering tests and just prescribed medication. When I needed an emergency appointment, I had to wait about two weeks. I ended up seeking medical attention elsewhere. I became very unhappy with this doctor and left.
