Dr. Laurence Steven Krain, MD

i presented with pain in different areas and he said it was Fibromyalgia. Gave me a brochure about it and medications and scheduled a follow up appointment for me. This all took place in less than 10 minutes. I read the brochure and did not meet all the criteria it listed. You had to meet a certain number of things and I did not meet the criteria. I pursued other specialties and learned I had a inguinal hernia and cervical neck problems. I am glad to have not just settled for that follow up appointment and took the medications as this would have not solved my problems. Both were rectified and needed surgical intervention to address. The visit I had with him is one of the worst I have had with a doctor. He did not seem to listen to what I was sharing with him and that these symptoms arose after some heavy lifting. He would not listen to what I had to say and this is where it all went wrong. Do what you wish but please know I work with health professionals in a hospital and this is one… of those to avoid. Maybe he was having a bad day or something but in this field you should not let that get in the way of patient care.

Dr. Krain was professional and courteous. He listened to everything I had to say. He made a very sensible treatment plan for me. Dr. Krain also asked several times if I had any other questions or concerns and he made sure I understood everything we spoke about. He spent an appropriate amount of time with me. I never felt rushed. I would recommend him to others.

Dr. Krain was very easy to communicate with. I honestly felt like he was concerned about me personally. I was not left waiting around like a lot of Doctors do to you. He was able to spend time with me to determine what the best course of action was moving forward. He even fought with my insurance company to make sure I was given the best treatment possible for an VAD in the middle of my head. I highly recommend Dr. Krain.

At first I thought Dr Crain was a transient there for treatment. I was shocked to find out that he was the doctor. He had long greasy hair, wrinkled clothes, and dirty beat up shoes. He was not prepared (missing previous doctors findings) to discuss the my husband's pain and showed very little interest . . . next!! Said it was not neurological, end of discussion. We were anxious to leave, he is very difficult to understand when he speaks and his opinion is irrelevant when he is missing the facts. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME
