Dr. Laurence N Lederman, MD

I sought care from Dr. Lederman in order to receive psychiatric medication which both I and my regular therapist felt I would benefit from. Dr. Lederman prescribed the medication and I returned to discuss the impact and side effects. When I described the side effects the medication induced in me, Dr. Lederman did not believe that these could really be side effects and instead insisted they must be manifestations of as-yet unknown psychiatric disturbance; these side effects are fairly common for the medication prescribed. He's a psychiatrist who wants to talk about things in depth but who seemingly does not believe patients about even basic information, making these long talk sessions less than fruitful.

Misdiagnosed my husband who eventually committed suicide.

This doctor does not follow up on phone calls. After calling for a week he has not returned my calls. Spoke to the answering machine and receptionist, just glad this was not an emergency. Will be taking my business to a professional.

this doctor refused treatment after agreeing to see me. said my problems were "too complex" After finding out i was on probation . I needeed to talk to someone while i was in the middle of a divorce and becoming overwhelmed. Evidently this "doctor" is only interested in making money and NOT helping people who are suffering. He needs to retire because he's clearly not concerned with suffering. He didnt even refer me to someone else.
