About Dr. Schwartz
Hello and welcome to my Dental Practice. I am Dr. Laurence Schwartz, and my staff and I look forward to meeting you. I graduated Georgetown University School of Dentistry in 1988 receiving the Herman Jerrow award for excellence in Operative Dentistry. After graduation I returned to Long Island and began my dental career as an associate dentist for several practices, where I honed my dental and surgical skills while learning what kind of dentistry I wanted to practice.
In 1994 I purchased the practice of Dr. Paul Bjorklund in Centerport NY. Â In 1997 I purchased the practice of Dr. Herbert Schwartz (no relation) and merged the practices at the current location, 181 Main Street Huntington NY.
Since 1997 I have continually updated the office with cutting edge technology. I have tried to create a private, relaxed, comfortable setting for my patients. I take great pride and I am honored to care for my patient’s dental health.
I am an active member of the American …Dental Association, New York State Dental Association, and Suffolk County Dental Society. I serve on the Education Committee at Suffolk County Dental Society.
I am also a member of two continuing education dental study clubs as well as a nutritional study club. I have received over 1000 continuing education credits and continue to update my clinical skills and dental knowledge locally and nationally.
I just finished a two year term as President of Dentists for a Better Huntington, which is a nonprofit charity group that I helped form in 1997. Our goal is to give back to the less fortunate in the Huntington community.Â
I currently enjoy living in Centerport NY in the same Harborfields School District where I graduated High School in 1980. I enjoy golf, tennis, hiking, outdoor activities and community service in my time away from dentistry.
