The exam felt rushed. Fair enough, I know Dr’s are busy but when some of the integral steps of a basic physical are completely omitted it’s concerning to a patient who works in healthcare too. No look into my eyes or ears whatsoever, no feeling of my lymphatic system around my neck and ears which is part of a basic physical. When I brought up a complaint about a growing lump behind my ear it was briefly glanced and but only because I pointed it out. I mentioned that my Mom has a history of recent colon cancer and I am in my early 40’s (initial screening age). I had to ask for a script to get my first Colonoscopy and was shocked she didn’t think to recommend it to me. I guess you sadly really do have to be your own advocate 100% nowadays. The MA took my blood but only did an extremely limited panel and they never called me with any results. My insurance covers a full blood draw and its truly absurd they only used my blood to see if I have high cholesterol. How about check someone’s… insurance beforehand and see if they can get a full draw? Wow, it’s truly scary this is healthcare in America in 2019. All in all I’m incredibly disappointed with this experience. Will never go back.
