Dr. Lauri Ann Harsh, DO

As a long time (10 years) patient of Dr. Harsh, I’m not sure what the rest of these reviewers are experiencing. She’s a great doctor and knows her stuff- particularly for the Quad Cities area, which does not have many GI specialists. If you work with her, she will work with you. I’ve also not had direct problems with staff, although I sometimes feel they could be more on top of their scheduling. For example- last year I got a letter that I was due for an endoscopy one week after I had gotten a colonoscopy. If you are a GI patient, you know why that’s ridiculous. But that’s a reflection of their organization system rather than Dr. Harsh herself. Also- whoever said she was “into herself” is just mad that she’s an attractive female doctor. Period.

If you call and ask questions about wanting to become a new patient, do yourself a HUGE favor and do NOT speak with Sharon. She didn't answer several of my questions I left in my voicemail, which means, she didn't take notes, she would ask questions and when I would answer them again, she would tell me that she doesn't need to know that information. So, Sharon, either lied, is forgetful or very unorganized. She also, would answer any follow up question or concerns and her tone was very COMBATIVE. She will also try and throw Dr. Harsh's credentials in your face, but I had done my homework, before contacting that office. Sharon, need to stop and listen. It's the public that pay their bills. I promise, I will never reference anyone to Dr Harsh's office.

Please find a different doctor! I saw her for over 10 years and had multiple red flags I ignored. I finally left her and now see another specialist. In reviewing her own records of mine we discovered so many mistakes in my care. One resulted in 10 days in the hospital following an emergency surgery. Please find a different doctor.

I had a great experience with Dr Harsh and her office. Heck i got lost and someone from Dr Harsh's office stayed on the phone til I walked in the door for my office visit ....:) Steve

Dr. Harsh has nice bed side manor, but, is very " into herself ". She is great a upper and lower endoscopies, anything beyond that not so much. She is a pill pusher and does not like to be questioned. Will not acknowledge her mistakes, some are big, and will blame anything or anyone, excluding you, for it.

I have been seeing Dr. Harsh for years and love her bed-side manner. She explains everything to me in normal terms instead of talking above my head. She is so down to earth and easy to talk to. I highly recommend Dr. Harsh to everyone that is in need. Her staff is so helpful and all together they continue to make my experiences great with this office.
