Dr. Laurie Donna Deleve, MD

Dr. Deleve was very condescending and had a disrespectful disposition. Dr. Deleve also told me I was wrong or mistaken about my symptoms or experiences, which was counter productive to say the least. The team she worked with when I saw her was incompetent. I was scheduled for a procedure but the prep instructions were not fully provided. As a result, on the day of my procedure, while I was laying on an operating bed in a medical gown, it was made clear that I missed a step of preparation and had to reschedule. Dr Deleve was rude and unapologetic for the confusion. When the rescheduled procedure finally happened the nurse putting in the IV missed my vain so many times they had to clean the blood running down my arm more than once. The nurse was so nervous his hands were shaking. However, he kept asking me to stop shaking even though I wasn’t. To cap it all off, I woke up in the middle of the procedure even though I was supposed to be sedated! After the procedure I vomited… violently for a long time. I was wheeled out of the hospital while still vomiting. I’ve had 3 surgeries (not with Dr. Deleve and her team!) and never thrown up. I recommend finding another gastroenterologist.
