Dr. Laurie Ann Kane, MD

This doctor should have her license revoked for bedside manner alone. She doesn’t listen, she makes assumptions, she makes you feel like the worst diabetic ever even when you are keeping amazing control. She is an unhappy old lady who is destined to make others feel like crud. I wanted to scream at her for some of her comments. She is rude, belittling, and terrible. I wish I would’ve read the other reviews before seeing her. Worse off is I’m pregnant and just wasted my time waiting for the appt just to be berated even though I’m doing great. She’s psycho. Avoid her at all costs.

She’s a keeper…. smart, direct, assertive and efficient in my care and plans for my future.

She seemed knowledgable but doesn't listen to her patient and she's extremely condescending. She makes assumptions and sticks to those like a broken record. TOTAL WASTE OF MY TIME since she didn't address my issues AT ALL.

If you want to feel like crap about yourself and your disease then go see dr. Kane! I wasn’t able to get my Dexcom sensors because she took forever to approve them. My blood sugar numbers were out of control and I was sad and frustrated with my diabetes. By no means was I yelling at her, I was expressing my frustration about the pharmacy and how my sugars have been crazy. THEN SHE PUT HER HANDS OVER HER EARS AND TOLD ME TO BE QUIET. I’m not even kidding. I’m scared to go back to an endocrinologist. It’s already really hard for me to go to the doctor and accept my diabetes. She made me feel horrible. She was so cold. I told her I’m sorry I just am upset and she stonewalled me. I was able to speak to a manager and the nurses and other staff couldn’t believe that it happened. Find any other endo but her, it was a really sad time for me and kinda spiraled me into not taking care of myself. Because I felt that no one else cared.

Had the strangest doctor appointment I've ever had with this woman. She didn't let me get a word in and was incredibly agitated and short with me. I got the impression that she's very unhappy. Wasted my time and happy to have found someone better.

I've been going to Dr Kane for about a year now. I don't understand all the bad reviews but I have nothing but good things to say, always explaines what I need to do and what I don't need to do for my diabetes. Thank you Dr Kane

So, this is a Physician that you may want to avoid and even report to California State Medical Board. It appears that she may have some ignorant views and habits about non-white patients. She definitely does not spend time to examine NOR explain the process/condition to patients. No bedside manner. Just horrible.

Dr. Kane is a nightmare. She has the worst bedside manner and one of the largest egos. She needs to pay attention to what the patient is telling her.

Dr. Kane is very knowledgeable about her subject matter and doesn't hesitate to run the appropriate tests. Her nurse asked me all the questions and then went the other side of the door and relayed all that I said to Dr Kane. Of course some was misconstrued as 2nd hand comments usually are and the doctor was dismissive when I tried to mention some things. I found it very difficult to have back/forth communications with Dr. Kane.

She is not very pleasant, but she is so knowledgeable and cares so much about her patients being as healthy as possible
