She offers a full spectrum of treatment options, from conservative management to advanced reconstructive surgery, to restore comfort, function, and quality of life for her patients.
Pelvic organ prolapse occurs when the pelvic floor muscles weaken, causing one or more of the pelvic organs—such as the bladder, uterus, or rectum—to "drop" or press into the vaginal wall. Patients often describe this as a feeling of pressure, bulging, or "something falling out." It is a common condition that has many effective treatment options.
These are the two most common types of urinary incontinence. Stress incontinence is urine leakage that happens with physical activity like coughing, sneezing, laughing, or exercising. Urge incontinence is a sudden, intense urge to urinate, followed by an involuntary loss of urine before you can get to a bathroom. Many women have a combination of both, known as mixed incontinence.
I specialize in treating a wide range of pelvic floor disorders, including bladder prolapse (cystocele), uterine prolapse, and dropped rectum (rectocele). I also provide comprehensive care for all types of urinary incontinence (stress, urge, and mixed) as well as fecal incontinence.
