Dr. Laurie J. Mckenzie, MD

After 2 years of trying to conceive, and being treated unsuccessfully with FSH meds alone in LA, Dr. McKenzie worked to determine what possible issues we were having. She got us on the right meds, correctly diagnosed me with uteran fibroids, surgically removed the fibroids, and 6 weeks later with our first IUI treatment we successfully conceived. I’m now staring at my beautiful week old son and am so so grateful for our experience. Dr. M was kind, attentive, detailed, caring, and a great listener. We also loved her office staff and team! They were wonderfully supportive!

I am so happy to have found Dr McKenzie. She did everything she could to get be the best result. Many places will just put you on cycle after cycle. Dr. Mckenzie made me wait until the conditions were right to get me the best results possible. I do not have my pregnancy results yet but whatever happens I know she did everything possible. And at 41 I had great results at retrieval and day five with some to freeze. I really don't have the money to do this more than once so I'm so grateful she took such care to get me the best results 1st time

The nurses at Houston Ivf are really bad.T he insurance billing b.....will fleece you.Lies and cheating that is what the Hispanic billing staff is about.The nurses are ridiculous.no interest in their job.No communication from.doctor or staff during Ivf.Laurie is extremely money hungry.She is a person with no integrity just amassing wealth.Not suitable for this profession.Hickman may be worse.Do not go there.

She gave us the most precious gift of all, our son!

Dr McKenzie was pleasant, knowledgeable and always willing to take the time to answer my questions. I saw her for every ultrasound except for one time when I saw Dr Hickman. Being an IVF patient, I saw her every other morning for 10 days. The nurse assigned to me ALWAYS called me back that day and in a prompt time frame. When I did need to call the after hours nurse, they were always helpful and prompt. The medical assistants that did the blood draws worked in a timely fashion and were always respectful of my requests for certain supplies. The insurance and billing staff were excellent and helpful in working with us to get our things in order. People rarely write reviews when they are pleased with a services however if unsatisfied can write a book. I do feel like other reviews here are extremely in accurate.

I went to Dr. McKenzie for a second opinion after the first RE from a different facility made me feel subhuman. Dr. McKenzie reviewed all of my medical records with me in about 15 minutes, answered all of my questions directly, told me exactly what was going on and outlined a plan of action to help me get pregnant. She is a fantastic doctor. Her staff was also knowledgeable and caring. I kicked myself for not going to see her in the first place.

The doctor is polite but is not very helpful. The nurse support is horrible, very delayed. The nurses don't even seem to have a medical background.

It seems like the folks who rated the physicians on a lower scale did so because they are pricey. I believe you get what you pay for and though my insurance cover this, I would pay them in a heartbeat if I had to. The staff has always been professional and timely in answering questions or concerns. I highly recommend this practice over others that I've visited. Wouldn't you much rather a physician who prides himself on high success rates?? Well to each his own, but the staff I've dealt with are above excellent!!

The nurses leave at 3:30 pm. Isn't that a bit too early. They are rude most of the time and neber get back in timely manner . The doctor herself is quite crazy for money. Won't recommend her. Ivf was way too expensive almost double than what other doctors charge.
